For some unknown reason I haven't taken as many pictures recently, which means I don't have as many things to blog about. I've often heard this is the case. The longer you live in one place, the more things become, well normal. This weekend we went to an area with lots of white people, so the little shops cater to their needs. I found myself standing in an aisle (Yes, this little store had an aisle- only one, but it was still about 3 times the size of anything in our town) just looking in amazement at everything you could buy.

Maple syrup, fruit loops, skippy (multiple kinds), cream cheese, cheddar cheese, canned corn, pringles, mayonnaise, french fries, salsa....the list goes on...Due the massive amounts of options and choices, I proceeded to do what I usually due when I'm overwhelmed by choices, and not choose.

Yes I walked out of the store empty handed. In fact this happened on more than one occasion. It may have also been that a lot of the items I saw in the store are not actually items that I eat on a regular basis in the states, so I didn't feel the need to buy them, but I thought it was interesting, how, in our town we don't have a lot of "Western" food options, which has become normal, and now, having lots of options (a whole aisle full) made decision making while shopping, a near impossibility. There will be NO Walmart trips, for at least a month or two after I return to the States. Besides looking at food items in fun shops, we DID do other things too, like climb waterfalls, and sit in the shadows of snow covered mountains! Here are some pics- enjoy
