Last weekend we went to a friend's house for lunch. It was actually really refreshing because they had told us two weeks before to come on that day!!! Imagine that?! We made an appointment to meet someone, like you would in America! It was kind of nice I must admit to have a little structure to our day. We arrived, they fed us (of course) and afterwards they left us to "take rest". This basically means that they leave you to sleep. They do it all the time here. I don't know if we always look tired after we eat, or whether it's just normal, but they told us to take rest, and then left the room.
About 30mins later I was woken by the ringing telephone. We drank chai to help us wake up (it's interesting to me that they give us chai to help us sleep, to help with digestion, AND to help us wake up. CHAI- the wonder drink). After chai we were quickly ushered into the adjoining room to try on Saris. They dressed us, put make up on us, did our hair! They had a GREAT time. Then we took pictures, got dressed back into our regular clothes and waited while they ready for the market! They then accompanied us to the market to walk us half way home! It was a fun and tiring time- if I ever decide to get married here, I will definitely have a lot of practice.

Hey when you're done with Emma, can I borrow it? I love Jane Austen, but I haven't read it yet. -Emily R.
SURE! i'm not sure when i'll be done. It's always slow going in the beginning with Jane Austen. I'm having a harder time getting into this one than the others. I'll send it when i'm done! :):)
I have had an opportunity to say namaste on campus last Monday. The students were so amazed!
You look just beautiful in that sari, Rebekah! I would like a picture of that sent to me, please.
