Funtimes With Momma

So my momma's stay here is coming to a close. We have had some funtimes! Sometimes we just laughed and laughed, she is a good friend and momma. One of the first days that she was here we were coming home from the grocery store and she/we almost flipped out as we saw a guy randomly walking his camel down the side of the road. I know that they live here....i've seen monkeys, elephants, water buffalo, cows, goats, sheep etc...but I have only once seen a camel. So...I don't know why, but the picture won't load.....you will have to wait in suspense for the picture....
One of our outings was to the Rock garden, which if you can remember back to one of my very first blogs, is a garden made out of the trash cleaned out of a nearby lake. There are things made out of broken toilets and sinks. Out bangles and plastics. The list of refuse material goes on. There are ALL kinds of things made out of the refuse, like army men exercising, or women in saris, monkeys, camels, and water buffalo.I have to admit that at first i thought they were moose. They look remarkably like moose, however, i always thought it was strange that Nationals didn't know what moose were, yet here were there statues. Water buffalo have become one of my favorite animals here, they're especially cute when they swim. Well anyway...the rock garden when i was here, was fun, but I have to admit when it's your third or fourth time through it, in hot, humid weather, you don't want to hang around too long. The one highlight were the swings...there are HUGE oversized swings, that look like you could fit two people on them. Well Haley and I tried, and the closest we came was an awkward looking pose, that left me with quite a few bruises on my thigh and hip. We eventually gave up and decided that her on my lap was the way to go.
Although you can't actually see much of me in this picture, I promise I'm buried in there.
After our excursion, we were all pretty dehydrated and hungry so the AC subway was the next logical place to go. YEs my friends, we have subway in our new town! Truly amazing!!! So I'm not a HUGE subway fan, but it IS nice to have the option. More funtimes to come shortly.....
