A gastronomic Journey!

Ok you can't read what this picture says because my camera couldn't focus, BUT it says " every visit will be a gastronomic journey of discovery". Welcome to "The Grill" a kabob restaurant, that is midly expensive, and insists on playing Shakira music videos on its 12 Tvs, while groups of men gather to watch her gyrate her hips- that don't lie, might I add! Welcome to "The Grill". This was the last place we ate at while my mom was in town! One of the guys had seen it and thought it looked interesting, so always up for new experiences, we all jumped in the jeep and off we went.
When we sat down and looked at the menu, which said "Every visit will be a gastronomic journey of discovery", with it's 5 food choices, and smokey atmosphere, we knew we were in for a treat! A little confused by the menu and the lack of choices, we finally discovered that is was a buffet type thing. They come and bring out tonnes of kabob meat. Well, worried that the guys weren't going to get full we loaded them up w/ as much as possible. After the 5 or 6 meat dishes were finished, and we got up to leave, they were like "ok now comes the main course". Of course none of us were hungry at this time, but we sat back down to be culturally appropriate. What ensued was what seemed like an endless plenty of rice, dal makhani, butter chicken, and various other dishes. After the main course, it continued.....they brought dessert!!! Gastronomic journey of discovery was right- I think it took me three days to digest all the food I ate! It was a fun experience, and looking back on it, it was a LOT of food for 300rps ($7.50). All you can meat etc, doesn't get much cheaper I guess. Next time we go I'll just prepare myself by not eating for 3 weeks in advance!

haha! This is funny. It reminds me of mine and James' experience at a Lebanese restaurant in Dubai - 8 cold appetizers, 8 warm appetizers, the meats, and the 4 dessert dishes. It was delicious, but I can feel your pain!

Got a random question...is the guy (the shorter one) in the first picture from Kentucky? He looks so familiar...I can't place him, but I feel like I saw him at school? Lemme know.
