In Thai Swatikaa means hello. Thai is a tonal language so you kinda of go up and down at the end- you really have to hear it. It's almost like a a whine at the end. When they greet they also press their hands together infront of their chests and may bow a little. I think the lower the bow the more respected you are. This Thai Ronald McDonald is showing a great example of how to greet someone. This picture really belongs with the ones from Thailand- oops. More to come shortly...
