This morning I jumped in a bus and started the journey up the mountains. Although Shimla is not far from where I left this morning, the bus journey took about 4 hours, because we had to go through the mountains. The roads were not too long and VERY windy.
The view was magnificent...most of the towns are built on the side of the mountains, and well you can see from the pictures.
We mainly just walked around this afternoon. There aren't many rickshaws in Shimla, so transportation is done by foot. It takes about 45mins to walk to the market and it's uphill both ways. - at least it seems that way. The walk in the cool air was quite refreshing after being in a polluted city for awhile, so I was excited to be able to get outside for the day.
