Rock climbing and other useless ramblings.

My brother is probably my most avid blog reader, and at his request I am pulling random topics out of the air to blog about. Unfortunately nothing of late has been very exciting, well April did have her Birthday, which was really fun, BUT the pictures that I took STINK! (This is the only good one I have! Happy Birthday McRoomie) So, today's topic is something that I have recently enjoyed very much, and I think when I get back to the States I will take it up as a new hobby. So I have only been rock climbing twice in my life, ok three times if you count the wall we had at our BCM block party about 3 years ago. The first real time, I was in Thailand, and had diarheea for about a week before hand. Needless to say I didn't do so well. The wall actually kicked my butt!!
I was a little disgruntled that I didn't make it to the top of the wall, and was determined to kick that wall's butt. However, the occasion didn't arise, and I was left defeated.

While in Nepal, I was able to spend a day perfecting my technique. Ok so it was more like someone trying to teach me the basics. Then out of no where this Iranian guy comes along and shows us all these really cool things and basically coaches us while we're climbing. He was definitely cool, and VERY good at rock climbing. I DID make it to the top of the wall that time (although I think it was shorter than the one in Thailand) and with a few coaching tips I think my climbing has improved. I figure you can't really get worse.... I will venture back to Thailand in a few months to that very same wall, and this time I will be ready for that wall. It's going down!!
